December 7th (continue) Fashion Ethics

List the changes that were made to the model's face in the computer. (Look carefully)
The Make-up drew her eye brows, put lip liner on her, put blush and all that kind of stuff on her (make-up)
The Hair Designers First Curled her hair.
and they edited the picture some how and made her neck longer, her eyes bigger, and her lips wider.

In your opinion, explain if you think it is ethically ok to change a person's appearance like this in a photo.
i dont think its okay to change a persons apperance because they are who they are.

Under what circumstances is it worse than others?
when you minipulate a ugly girl to a pretty girl then thats just messsed up you can really fool someone like that.

What types of changes are ok, and what aren't?
i dont think the changes they did to that girl is okay but whatevr it takes them to make money then thats them. what is okay is putting make-up and doing hair and normal stuff like that not editing the photo in the computer.

December 7th

Should a photojournalists ethics be absolute or situational? Why?
I think it should be situational because the photo that was taken can be really good and have like the person flicking off the camera but irt stil could be a good pic.

Can a photo really capture truth? Why or why not?
i think a photo cannot capture the truth unless the photogreher has the camera with them when something is really happening. they are carrying it around knowing an even is happening.

What decisions have you made as a photographer that "edit" reality? Explain.
Why is it important that news organizations have clearly defined ethical standards?
i think its very imkportant the news orginizations have clearly defined standards because you dont want to read a papre and be lied to about what going on or have a fake picture or something

October 23 wrpping it up

1. What challenges did you encounter while trying to get close, capture real moments, and capture action or emotion? How did you deal with these?
the challenges that occured while i was shooting the human knot is. that they were moving really fast and i couldnt really cath emotion in my shots.

2. What technical aspects of photography (focus, exposure, composition) did you find yourself thinking about the most, and how did you make sure you did these correctly?
i was thinking about focus and exposure the most because i didnt want to zoom in too far and i wanted to fill the frame and not have any dead spots in my picture.

3. Describe how you attempted to use at least one of the advanced composition techniques when you shot
i tried to get good angles while shooting getiing lower(on knees) and really getting some good shots.

October 22 Bob Rosato Fav. Photos

Shot with: Canon EOS-1DS, EF 24mm f/1.4L USM, shot at 1/250 f/5.6
This Picture was shot with fast shutter speed because the players are moving at a very fast pace.
Large Aperture
I think the photographer was kneeling down on the baseline to get such a great angle.
